No machine-based translation program has yet developed the skills required to understand the complexity behind the words on the page.

Because the translator does not know your business as well as you do a good one will always ask the questions required to understand what has been written before endeavouring to translate both the words and the meaning into the target language. This process is supported by a wide range of resources – including dictionaries, glossaries and the Internet.

At the same time it is essential for the translator to provide the service that the client needs – when the client needs it. As a result translators must have business, project management and communication skills in addition to linguistic ones.
